Last updated: 25 August 2026. This policy describes what Hangman Phrases collects and why. The honest summary is: very little, because the site does not need much to do its job.

What this site is

Hangman Phrases publishes reference lists for playing hangman. There are no user accounts, no logins, nothing to subscribe to, and nothing that requires you to identify yourself to read any page.

What is collected

Server logs

Like almost every website, the web server records standard technical logs: the address a request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser's self-description. These logs are used to keep the site running and to diagnose faults, are not used to build profiles, and are routinely rotated and deleted.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, optional email address and message you type are stored on the server so they can be read and replied to. They are used for nothing else: no marketing, no lists, no sharing with anyone. If you want a past message deleted, ask through the same form and it will be.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies at present. There are no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies. If advertising is ever enabled, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first to name exactly what changes, before it changes.

Third parties

No third-party scripts, fonts, trackers or embeds load on this site. Pages are served directly, which is also why they are fast.

Children

The site is reference material suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, children included. The contact form is intended for adults; a child's message would be stored the same way as any other and deleted on request.
